Evidence-Based Practice Institute (EBPI) (doing business as Jaspr Health) is on a mission to reduce death by suicide. We are a Seattle-based company founded and advised by the world’s experts in mental health and behavioral psychology. Our technology helps to deliver evidence-based suicide prevention at scale. Combining suicide science, digital technology, and the wisdom of people with lived experience, our core tablet-based product called Jaspr compassionately delivers acute suicide care. Jaspr helps lessen the suicide crisis, strengthens suicide coping, and reduces stigma while instilling hope and connection.
Why is our work important? Simply put, hospital emergency departments are the front line to prevent suicide, yet few are equipped for the increasing patient load — 14.5 million behavioral health emergencies per year, growing 12% annually. And people in suicide crisis face lengths of stay four times longer than other emergencies.
Jaspr transforms hours of waiting into an opportunity for evidence-based interventions, powerful videos of individuals with lived experience to instill hope, a library of comfort and skills exercises, and EHR-integrated assessment to inform disposition decisions. We Need You Because...
We are expanding our product portfolio to build new, innovative solutions for suicide prevention and post-acute suicide care, outside of the emergency department. We need a Senior React Native developer that is strongly aligned with the Jaspr mission, is highly collaborative, and can have strong ownership over the product. This team player can independently own and manage the front-end development of a mobile app while partnering closely with the product team to inform and implement design requirements. Requirements:
-3+ years with:
-JavaScript/TypeScript
-React Native
-Modern JS tooling
-Using NativeBase or similar framework to implement design
Ideal candidates will possess some or all of the following:
-MobX and MobX-State -Tree
-Experience writing state machines using XState
-Experience writing unit test with Jest
-Comfort with CICD / Bitbucket Pipelines
-React Native Reanimated
Qualifications:
-Ability to participate in the entire software development life cycle from ideation to deployment
-Can write clean, efficient and maintainable code
-Ability to deliver high-quality code while adhering to project timelines and milestones
-Ability to build unit tests and maintain test coverage
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills
-Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment, adapt and learn swiftly
Please Note:
-EBPI is based in Seattle, WA. This position will work Pacific Standard Time hours. Local hires will have access to our Seattle Wework office space.

Salary:
-Range for this role is $150,000 - $180,000, based on experience.
